We are excited to present this impressive 1980 Camaro Z28, which remains in exceptional condition with only 41,982 miles. Accompanied by the original owner’s manual and several dealer documents, this Z28 features a stunning factory brown paint job and a largely original interior, along with the matching numbers 350 engine. The car includes the factory build sheet and multiple dealer brochures. It is structurally solid with excellent body lines and no visible rust, as well as a clean frame and undercarriage. Previously owned by a single family for over 25 years, it was primarily used for car shows and cruise-ins. The vehicle is finished in the attractive factory color scheme of brown exterior over tan vinyl interior, as confirmed by the trim tag in the photos. The mileage is verified as accurate on both the current Ohio title and the previous Pennsylvania title. Two build sheets were found during detailing—one under the rear seatback and another beneath the front passenger seat—indicating it has the factory Z28 specifications including 3.42 rear gears and F41 sport suspension.
Exterior
The exterior of this Z28 is in superb condition, exhibiting excellent paintwork with a fresh look and high gloss. The paint quality is outstanding, and the decals are in excellent shape. The body is well-maintained with perfect gaps and lines, and both bumpers are in excellent condition without flaking or fading. There is no rust, bubbling, or cracked paint. Minor imperfections may be present but are not apparent in the photographs. The tires have good tread, and the Centerline aftermarket wheels are in excellent condition. Weather stripping and window sweeps are also in good condition. The trunk is solid and clean, featuring a space-saver spare tire, original trunk mat, jack, and tools.
Interior
The tan vinyl interior is preserved in mostly stock condition. The original seat covers are in great shape for their age, with minimal wear. The recently replaced carpet looks like new, free from stains or damage. The original dashboard is in excellent condition, with no cracks or fading, and the dash bezel is similarly well-maintained. The stereo has been upgraded to a digital cassette AM/FM unit, which looks and sounds good. The original door panels are in excellent condition, and the headliner, recently replaced, is like new without sagging or stains. The package tray is in good condition with updated speakers and grills. All interior lights and gauges function correctly, except for the clock, which is a common issue. The stereo, wipers, and horn are operational, and the tilt steering wheel functions as intended. The car has not been smoked in, so there are no lingering odors. The air conditioning and heating systems are not functioning, with the AC unit removed from under the hood.
Mechanical
Mechanically, this Z28 is in excellent condition, retaining its original 350 engine, which has been refreshed with an upgraded camshaft, roller rockers, and head work. Photos of the engine removed for detailing show the extensive care taken. The engine was fully detailed and reinstalled with new motor mounts, radiator, fuel pump, and starter. Additionally, new rear shocks, brake components (including lines, hoses, pads, cylinders, and calipers), master cylinder, brake booster, drums, and rotors have been installed. Flowmaster mufflers and headers enhance the engine’s performance and provide a distinctive rumble at idle and cruising speeds. A new alternator was recently added. The engine bay was thoroughly detailed, including the addition of several chrome pieces for show quality. This Z28 performs admirably on the road, starting easily, idling smoothly, and offering a delightful driving experience. The brakes function correctly without pulling, and the vehicle handles well with no excessive rattles or noises. It has been meticulously cared for by previous owners and remains a testament to their attention to detail and passion for this special car
